The Asia-Pacific Financial Market Development Symposium

The publication, the “Voice of the Symposium” is now available.  It seeks to capture the key themes and discussions emerging from the Symposium, and together with the key background materials, as well as various photos taken during the event provides an important record of the event.  You can access the publication here – The Voice.   Hard copies are also available and will shortly be sent out to all delegates.

The Symposium was hosted by the Australian Government in Sydney at the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday and Thursday, 10 and 11 April 2013.

The Asia-Pacific Financial Market Development Symposium explored the proposal put forward by the APEC Business Advisory Council at the APEC Finance Ministers Meeting in August 2012 to establish the ongoing Asia-Pacific Financial Forum to strengthen and promote financial markets in the region.

The Symposium brought together private sector leaders and regulators in the financial services industry from across the Asia-Pacific region.

For further information, view the Australian Government’s media release of 31 August 2012 announcing the hosting of the Symposium.

We would also like to thank our co-supporters for their generous contributions.

Thanks also for the assistance provided by the Australian APEC Study Centre at RMIT University.
